Australian dam and river levels? Irragation to food producers cut?

Our state may be cled as backward to some but West Australia is way ahead of the rest with water restrictions and our governments have known for awhile how crucial it is to try and fix the problem and it is an ongoing thing. The Federal government have sat on their hands and hoped the problem would go away but it wont and now with an election looming it will be a major issue. We need to go back to treating water as a precious commodity and learn to conserve it you know when I was growing up in the bush every house had a rainwater tank that would be a good start.
