Good books for Teens?

It's not really higher reading level but if you're into mythology I recommend the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series by Rick Riordan. If you're into mystery: Anything by Peter Abrahams, especially Oblivion. Something funny? Try Steve Martin's The Pleasure of My Company. Take a peek into the best war novel I've ever read The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. Something a little more sad? Try Into the Wild, or Nineteen Minutes. And for something that is just a good read go for Jack Kerouac's On The Road.
